I need a website... Where do I start..??

It can often be a daunting task to provide content for your website. Surprisingly, the best person for the job is the person who knows the most about your business... YOU!
We have provided you with a few simple pointers to give a little kick start in the right direction and before you know it, your quest for website content will be underway.

Your website will consist of a number of pages. These pages are all either informative, pictorial, dynamic or all of the above depending on the type of business you have.

One of the most important pages of your website is the "HOME" or "LANDING" page.

The Home page is the first instance of advertising that your client will see, so it is very important to have a page that keeps your client interested.

REMEMBER: Above all to Sell Yourself. Your website is your "shopfront" and your 24/7 sales pitch.

• What do you actually do / sell (it is a good idea to provide a short Bold header / statement)
• Do you have an "offer" or "free" something or offer.
• Have you investigated your competition?
• Have you gained a basic understanding of effective website structure?
• What could make you more appealing than your competitors. Not just visually but on a business level.
• Is your potential client going to expect to find what they are looking for from you / your website?
• If you were looking at the web for a product or service, what makes you want to click away to another site and what makes you want to stay?
• Keep it brief and to the point (don't waffle on)

The Design Process from start to finish

We at Digitaleye Web Design will do all we can to make the entire design process as "painless" as possible for you. Even if you are new to owning a website, we will be here to guide you through at every step of the way.

• Upon choosing us to create your website, we will send you our client agreement form and invoice for initial 50% deposit.
• We then ask that you gather all your website content including page text, images and logos etc.
• We then design your home page "mockup" and send to you for your approval.You have an oppotunity to make any design changes at this stage.
• Upon design approval, we then continue to develop the reminder of the website. For a base design this process will usually take approximately one week. Larger sites will of course take longer to develop.
• We then place the functional site on our test server for your final proofing. It is at this stage that all changes are required from you. These alterations are required within 48hrs. It is important to be thourough at this stage. All changes after this first round will be charged additionally.
• Once final proof change are made we will then invoice you for final payment and your site is ready to go live. Final payment will be required within 48hrs of site completion.
• Your site will then either be uploaded to your digitaleye host free of charge or handed over to you to pass on to your own host. Uploading of your site to another host will incurr additional charges.
• Any spelling errors or site errors will be corrected free of charge up to 7 days following site upload.

We can of course not only maintain your new website for you but also upgrade it with more pages, new content, blogs, etc etc at any time.
